Glo ambassador, Burnaboy, has cleared the air on the controversy surrounding his str*pping und*rpants on the stage while performing at this year’s Felabration. He spoke to a Lagos based weekly tabloid. Hear him…

The video of your performance at Felabration 2013 has gone viral. How do you feel about it?
My Felabration performance was all about paying homage to the great Fela “Abamieda” himself. People who were there saw it for what it was.

Can you share with us what prompted you to str*p to your und*rpants on stage?

I have said what I want to say on that subject. No further comment.

There have been a lot of criticisms from various quarters including Seun Kuti that Fela never performed on stage in pants. Were you oblivious of that fact?

No comment on that.

Did you really have an er3ct1on on stage, because it seemed so from the pictures and what caused the er3ct*on?

How do you cope with female fans?

I love my female fans very much and they love me right back. I have a lot of love.

What’s next from Burna?

My tour is still ongoing, I had to stop in Lagos for a quick show but more videos are coming from the album soon so my fans should watch out for more good things from me.

Aww, it's great to see that rappers Ikechukwu and Naeto C are still as close as ever.
If you remember some years back the pair were practically inseparable.
Ikechukwu shared this picture of entertainer Dbanj', Naeto C and his
beautiful wife and yummy mummy Nicole who carried their adorable baby boy.
I think it's time for these three men to release a hit together!

For thousands of years people from around the world have used fasting as a natural method for healing sickness. Some cultures started out using fasting purely for religious reasons. However, they soon learned that fasting can be quite beneficial to the body as well. There are many ways that a fast can help to heal sickness and the body, providing the fast is performed properly.

In today's modern age, people do not eat like they should. They fill their bodies with heavy foods laden with chemicals and preservatives. When you factor in the many other chemicals our body encounters every day, it's easy to see how quickly our bodies can become inundated with harmful and harsh chemicals that can make us feel ill. By fasting, we can help remove these chemicals from our body which will aid in improving our overall health.
Fasting works to heal your body in other ways as well. The digestive process requires a great deal of energy from our bodies. When we fast, energy that is usually used for digestion is instead redirected to other areas of our body. This energy can then be used to support proper cell growth and immune function. When we relieve the body from the work of having to digest food, we allow it to rid itself of toxins that are attacking our systems which in itself will facilitate healing. Having the extra energy that would normally be spent digesting, we facilitate that healing even faster.
Fasting will help cleanse many areas of the body. When you fast, organs that promote healthy blood flow such as the liver, kidneys and colon are able to cleanse themselves and rejuvenate your blood stream. This increases oxygenation in the blood which increases your overall health and encourages healthy organs and skin. By purifying the blood stream, organs work better, your brain function will increase, even your eyes will become clearer and your breath fresher.
Fasting is beneficial to our bodies in so many ways that it truly is a shame more people do not realize it. If you have sickness, fasting can help to speed healing by redirecting energy to areas that need healing. If you are moderately healthy, fasting will help improve your health level. Even if you are a very healthy person, fasting is still beneficial because it will help keep you at an optimal health level.
It is important to remember however, that fasting will only work to heal your body if performed properly. If you are not aware of the proper method for fasting, research the topic before you begin, as improper fasting can do more harm then good. Fasting is not as terrifying as many people believe it to be and once you feel the positive affects that it has on your body, you will wonder why you didn't try it sooner. Fasting is one of the best ways to naturally heal your body and get your system back to the state of health that it should be.

-FIFA-Footballer-of-the-year-2008 Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite popularly known as KAKA, was born to a middle-class family in Brasilia. He became deeply spiritual when he was 12. "I learnt that it is faith that decides whether something will happen or not," he said.

Kaka's own faith was strengthened in October 2000 when he slipped on a swimming pool slide and broke a vertebrae.

"It was a time in which I learned you have to give your best every single day because the next day you might not be able. "I had gone to visit my grandparents in Caldas Novas in Brazil and I slipped on a swimming pool slide.

When I fell into the water I hit my head on the bottom of the pool and twisted my neck, which caused a fracture of a vertebra. "All I knew was that anyone with a broken neck would be disabled for life. The doctor told me I would not be able to play for at least three months, then they would be able to tell if I was going to fully recover.

"But after two months the injury had healed and I was able to resume my football career. That was when I knew God was looking after me and that He was on my side."  "The doctors said that I was lucky to be able to walk normally," "They were talking about luck and my family was talking about God. We knew that it was His hand that had saved me." Kaka also said: "That helped shape me, principally as a person, but as a player too. One among the richest Footballers: (Kaka with the Brazilian President) Kaka broke into the Brazilian team as a 20 year old in 2002 and was included in the national squad for that year's World Cup, though his only action was in a group game against Costa Rica. He was on the substitute's bench for the final in which Brazil won the Cup for the fifth time by beating Germany.

A lot of people, including people who are not believers will remember the scenes at the final whistle when a number of Brazilian players openly showed their faith by thanking God and by revealing vests under their shirts quoting Bible verses. Kaka was one of those players and at the final whistle ran onto the pitch and along with his team mates Lucio and Edmilson, they dropped to their knees together to give their thanks to The Lord. You may well remember that Kaka then revealed his vest, which said 'I belong to Jesus'. Football in these days generally has a bad press, what with the money earned by the top players and the lifestyles that some of them live. And so what about Kaka? The AC Milan star has given the green light to a staggering £243million switch to Eastlands. The richest player on the face of the earth before Cristiano Ronaldo last year. Indeed, he will be one of the top paid (if not the top paid) players in the world today. But one thing very clear about Kaka is that the money and the lifestyle that accompanies top footballers today is not that which truly motivates him. Indeed, he is very open in letting it be known that his relationship with Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior is what matters to him most and that Biblical values are what he seeks to live by as he lives his life as a follower of Jesus Christ. And so here is Kaka. He is rich, young and famous. He is happily married with his own children (he and his wife Caroline were childhood sweethearts and they are very open in stating that they conducted their relationship by Biblical standards). So many would ask him the question "With you being so successful, why on earth do you need Jesus in your life?' Here is what Kaka replies (Source; 'Scorchio' magazine):  "I need Jesus every day of my life. Jesus tells me in the Bible that, without Him, I can't do anything. I really believe that without Jesus, we can't do anything. The gift and ability I have today to play football is because God gave it to me. It is a gift from God that I try to improve on every day. That is why I need Jesus in my life every day. The difference Jesus makes in my life is that I know I will always have victory. I will always have joy and I will always have success. This is independent of the situations I face, because I know that in the end, there will be greater victory. This brings me great peace, serenity, tranquility and happiness because I am sure that Jesus is in control of my life.  I know that He is like a Father who doesn't want anything bad for His child and He only wants the best for me and those around me, including my family." KAKA's confession of faith to millions & works: He became involved with the Billy Graham organization in a TV campaign which had an astonishing effect in his homeland (Brazil). It was nationally reported that: Hundreds of people were freed from demonic possession. Hardened criminals turned to Christ in thousands. Many more were cured of booze and drug addictions. A former voodoo princess turned to Christ. As the campaign launched, Kaka told millions: "I truly cannot imagine my life without Christ. Everything I have accomplished, everything I have done in my life was because God has a plan and purpose for my life. Bible says He will do more than we ever thought or imagined, and this is truly how it has been. "If God wasn't in my life, then my life certainly would not be like this." The Brazilian's faith in God has been broadcast across the world via an iconic picture of him on his knees celebrating a goal and showing a T-shirt which proclaims, 'I belong to Jesus.'    Kaka looks to the heavens after winning the Champions League with Milan........ Kaka, 26, has won a World Cup and the Champions League as well as been named FIFA World Player of the Year.               "But he told 10 million fellow Brazilians that nothing can be compared with the peace of knowing and serving Christ." He said: "I have been named best soccer player in the world. This for me was a great honor. But the greatest honor is serving Jesus Christ, because he gives me hope." Abstaining from Immorality: Such is the depth of the star's faith he refused to have sex before his marriage to Caroline. He said: "I am a great example. The majority of people say after marriage, they don't like jumping into bed with their partner because there is no desire. "However, this is not true, my wife is the person I love and it was worth waiting. "A lot of people were surprised and shocked with me but I think it's the best decision. I am an evangelist and I believe in those values. "I think people need to prevent themselves from making love before marriage. Everyone has their opinion but I think it was worth the wait." Honoring your elders: Kaka says one of the chief influences on his footballing life has been Chelsea boss Phil Scolari. He said: "When I was just 20 he took me to the World Cup in 2002 and gave me the opportunity to be a champion which was very important." His Vision: Kaka believes if he is to move to Manchester City, it will be thanks to a higher power. He said: "If things happen it's because God has prepared me. God has great things for us. If it's God's will that I be there, there I will be."

Thank God for everything!

Men who have sex at least twice in a week can almost halve their risk of heart disease, according to new research. This study was conducted with over 1,000 men.

Sex is an activity that involves intense physical and emotional elements. Sexual intercourse may be a marker for a healthy heart because sex can be a form of physical activity which, like exercise, gives your heart a workout. People who have a desire for frequent sex, and are able to do so, are likely healthier overall; especially because men who have regular sex may also be in a supportive relationship, which offers stress reduction and emotional benefits.

The medical world is finding that regular sex is so good for you that when you go to see a doctor, they are asking many questions about your sex life to give them an indication of your overall health. Apparently, sex is not only good for your heart, it also keeps many other illnesses away.

For example, sex can actually cause you to get fewer colds. Research has shown that couples who have sex weekly have a 30 percent increase in immunoglobulin A, an antibody that fights infection. Sex can also help women have a more predictable period schedule, as a result of being exposed to male pheromones.

In addition, having sex reduces stress — for physiological as well as emotional reasons. Anything that will reduce stress is good for you, as too much stress can lead to many diseases, including cancer. Sex activates a nerve that has a calming effect. Having sex also lowers blood pressure, which reduces the risk of heart disease.

Sex can even reduce LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and increase HDL (“good”) cholesterol! The following are other good health results that a good sex life can give you:

• Fewer colds because of an increase in immunoglobulin A, an antibody that fights infection

• Women can get more predictable periods because of exposure to male pheromones

• A better physical response to stress

• Lower blood pressure, which lowers your risk of heart disease

• Lower your bad cholesterol and increase your good cholesterol

• Help tone your abdomen and pretty much any muscle in your body

• Natural increases in estrogen, thus improving the appearance of your hair, skin and nails

• Improve your memory because blood flow increases to your brain

• Increased feelings of motivation because of the release of endorphins

As you can see, a good sex life is one way to stay happy, healthy and fit. So, if your doctor starts grilling you about your bedroom habits, now at least you know why.

And this is actually only the tip of the iceberg. Sex has also been found to boost self-esteem and improve intimacy in your relationship. This is because sex and orgasms result in increased levels of the hormone oxytocin — the “love” hormone — that helps you feel bonded to your partner.

As oxytocin increases, so do hormones known as endorphins, which in turn lessens feelings of pain related to everything from headaches and arthritis to symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, PMS. It can also help you to get a better night’s sleep.

Further, for women, having sex can help strengthen the muscles of your pelvic floor (the same ones used to stop urination). As you age, having strong pelvic floor muscles reduces your risk of accidents.

Of course, these benefits are assuming you’re having sex with a mutually monogamous partner, otherwise you risk catching a sexually transmitted disease.

Sexual pleasure begins in your brain

Your brain and nervous system control your sex glands and genitals, and this is why they also control your sexual desire, as well as orgasms. This is why, for example, visual images trigger sexual desire in both sexes.

Your brain stem also emits nerve impulses that control erectile function. These nerve impulses navigate through the erection centre of your spinal column to the erectile tissue of your penis, where they trigger a chain reaction in the membranes of your vascular muscle cells. This sophisticated chain reaction is dependent on a messenger molecule called cyclic guanosine monophosphate, or cGMP.

However, this works in reverse as well: an erection softens as soon as another enzyme, called phosphodiesterase, starts to degrade the cGMP molecules.

Drugs like Viagra, Levitra and Cialis work by inhibiting phosphodiesterase, which may help maintain your erection. But, these pills will not create an erection in and of themselves. Your initial erection still has to be triggered psychologically. Without that initial impetus, potency pills will have no effect whatsoever. This is also why these pills are ineffective for many men who take them hoping for a magic jack-in-the box effect.

As you might suspect, because your sexuality is so intimately tied to your mind, anxiety, defensiveness, fear, and failure of communication are all destructive psychological forces that can take a heavy toll on your libido, whether you’re a man or a woman, by acting as road blocks to desire.

According to Professor Gert Holstege of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, fear and anxiety need to be avoided at all costs if a woman wishes to have an orgasm.

1. Nothing in this world is impossible and Mandela makes sure to remind us of that.
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
2. A lot of people find it easy to be pessimistic and think of the negatives that can arise out of a situation. But in this quote, Mandela shows us that thinking positive is the only way to go. The more positive you think, the more positive the outcome will probably be.
“I am fundamentally an optimist. Whether that comes from nature or nurture, I cannot say. Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed toward the sun, one’s feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death.”
3. Living isn’t just about doing for yourself, but what you do for others as well.
“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”
4. An ode to the fact that racism is not passed on genetically, but passed on through teachings.
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
5. Life is a course with endless obstacles to hurdle.
“After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb.”
6. We are too quick to give up and refuse to get up from our failures. If we don’t fight to get up, we are giving up on something bigger — life.
“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
7. Sometimes you can leave a place and find that the only thing that has changed after all the years is yourself.
“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.”
8. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
“If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.”
9. Be brave!
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”
10. From the poorest of countries to the richest of nations, education is the key to moving forward in any society.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

A man accused of killing a British soldier on a London street told police he was a “soldier of Allah” fighting a war against Britain but that the killing brought him little joy, a court heard on December 4, 2013, Wednesday.
Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22, are on trial for the brutal murder of Lee Rigby near his barracks in the south London district of Woolwich in May 2013.
In recordings of the interviews shown to the jury at the Old Bailey criminal court in London, Adebolajo blamed his actions on “wicked” leaders such as Prime Minister David Cameron and his predecessor Tony Blair.
Asked by detectives to describe the killing, during which the two men allegedly hit Rigby with a car before attacking him with knives, Adebolajo said the soldier’s head was “almost detached and may Allah forgive me if I acted in a way that is displeasing to him”.
In another interview, during which he had a blue blanket over his head, Adebolajo said the killing was “for those people who have not yet understood the nature, the nature of the war that’s ongoing and has been ongoing for some many years between the Muslims and the British people”.
He went on: “Your leaders, you have leaders who rule over you, unfortunately they rule over you in a very wicked, corrupt, selfish and oppressive manner.”
Adebolajo said he was “particularly disgusted by David Cameron, the Miliband brothers and what’s-his-name, Nick Clegg”, referring to opposition Labour leader Ed Miliband, his brother David, and Liberal Democrat Deputy Prime Minister Clegg.
He also spoke of the “wickedness and corruption” of Blair, who took Britain in to the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. Cameron, he said, was “trying to emulate the footsteps of Tony Blair as if he worships him”.
But he added that it brought him “little joy to approach anybody and slay them”.
Rigby’s widow Rebecca left the court in tears as the interviews were played.
A psychiatrist’s report read to the court earlier on Wednesday found that Adebolajo showed “no regret or remorse”.
Both Adebolajo, who wanted to be referred to as Mujaahid Abu Hamza in court, and Adebowale deny murder.
